That’s why we commit to extensive player-testing and spend hundreds of hours meeting with manufacturer R&D teams and our academic panel of scientists to better understand the nuances that make each club special. For Look/Sound/Feel, our testers respond to the sensation of hitting the club. Though sound is often equated to feel, the testers know that what they hear isn’t always representative of the feedback. The Look score expresses the player’s enthusiasm to hit this club at address, and Sound and Feel represent how much impact suggests power and control. Here’s how our 32 testers evaluated drivers based on their interpretation of Look/Sound/Feel, with each driver achieving a minimum rating of 4.5 stars. Note that the star rating is for the brand’s family of models, so the rating applies to all the models in a family.
