People who don't want to go all-in on mallets will like this putter. It had a perfect amount of sound and feel, which translates to better speed control.
A vintage aesthetic that promotes an even-balanced putting stroke through the ball with a lot of strong features that promote a good sound and feel. There's a lot going on in the face, which I feel somewhat distracts from the putting experience and may contribute to a little bit of lack of consistency.
I was a little underwhelmed by how the the forgiveness was really low. If you mis-hit it a little bit, you felt it.
Consistent on short putts. Longer putts, because it's a lighter head, felt like I had to use more power and, push it a little bit more, which created a little bit more inconsistency on the longer ones.
Very interesting design, really like the finish on this putter. Very unique, like its got an anvil on the back of a blade. Really balanced feel, weighting was great. Allowed me to release the putter very nicely, good distance control and great dispersion. A home run.
It's like a well-worn flannel shirt. The feel of the ball coming off the putter face is just absolutely magnificent. It's very easy to dial in distance. The ball tracks, stays online the entire time. Absolutely deadly for eight-to-12 footers.
Soft, and it felt powerful. It's easy to roll putts, but that's kind of where it stopped. My dispersion was fine lengthwise, but there was a lot of inconsistencies right or left.
This is no nonsense in the good way. There's just something distinct about that soft blue finish. The milling was doing a nice job of getting the ball rolling in the right responsive way. With the extra weight, it definitely strokes heavy, but in a way that quiets and simplifies your stroke
By the shape, I thought maybe that the cutout and rear shaping would provide distance forgiveness but I didn't see it. It played more like a blade in terms of the feel of stability.
Love the look, the two-tone. It looks like it just came out of a machine shop. Very raw looking, but clean. It was like different parts of the face had different results, depending on where you hit the ball on the groove. The grooves and the milling felt a little too aggressive.
Soft brushed blue look was distinct and cool. But kind of a high-pitched shrill sound that you felt in your hands. But stayed soft in the center.
I love the oil-can finish. I makes you immediately want to pick it up. It's good for people that have just a little bit of arc in their in their swing. It works well with that kind of stroke.
Probably one of the more simple yet effective putters you can play. It adjusts to your stroke and the ball comes off the face as pure as you can get. Blown away.
I really like the size of this mallet head. It's compact, but it still provides the forgiveness that you would get in a traditional mallet. The finish on the head could be slightly distracting. It's like a slight iridescent finish.
This is a great transitional putter for someone who's always used a blade but who's afraid to go into a mallet. Much shallower face.
Clean looking putter, small profile for a mallet, so small head. There's not much depth to the face either. It feels like the ball sits above the head, which is nice. The milled face gives a very solid hit to the ball. It's not too loud. It's not too soft. It's just the right amount, and it feels weighted properly.
This putter is fairly lightweight, and I felt like there wasn't enough energy transfer and I really had to force the ball to the hole, especially on long putts. That forced my hands to move more. It felt like there was just a "clunk."
The club produced an odd knocking sound at impact, like a metal knocker on a door, kind of a deeper thunk than I'm used to hearing. I enjoyed it most on lag putts. It was getting consistent results.
If you're looking for a putter with instant feedback on the face, this is it. I think it's pretty hard to get it right on the sweet spot. Just a slight mis-hit. You feel it. It doesn't come off the face as well. If you're looking for a more forgiving putter, this is not it.
Beautiful compact head shape. You immediately are drawn to the milling, and you could feel how aggressive it is. You could feel it grabbing the ball, which helped it roll end over end.
Very minimalist. But for as thin and compact as it is, it's very soft and receptive to the golf ball. You had a lot of control on the golf ball. The head felt fluid through the putting stroke.
So the weight is really evenly distributed, so it's easy to bring it back and straight through. The alignment line is clear, so it's easy to get lined up. The sweet spot's pretty large. I like the simplicity of it. It's not distracting, so it's easy to use.
Even though it has a small head on it, it rolls well. The alignment aids are helpful, and it's a consistent putter, both on short and long-distance putting.
Definitely a louder sound and a firmer feel of the face with the milling. But overall, if you're looking for a simple mallet to go to that functions and has a good pop up the face, this gives you a lot of really good feedback and and rolls well to the hole.
It's not that forgiving of a putter, but if you hit the center of the face, it is fantastic.
The alignment is simple. The head is compact, but it's functional. It looks small at first, but everything helps with the alignment. The feel of the face is very quiet.
I enjoyed this putter for short putts. Very soft feel off the face. Balls rolled very well off of it. I do wish it was a little bit heavier. It required a little bit more effort to make lag putts thus had a bit more difficulty keeping the face square.
When I first picked up the putter up, it looked like a mallet that someone had taken two bites out of. But upon putting with it, the shape kind of grew on me. The milling on the face gives a firm but in control feel. You can consistently judge the distance well.
The anvil-like appearance of this putter head really delivers heft in the form of made putts that are rolled consistently end over end and to the distance that you wanted.
I like the uniqueness of the design. The simple straight line is good enough for me. It was helpful. A pretty neutral softness to firmness, gave me a real good feel every time I hit the putter. So I knew what I was getting with each stroke and contributed to hitting my targets and hitting my distance, consistently.
