Overall, not my favorite club. I didn't find it very forgiving or workable. The ball flight was okay—a little on the lower side—but the sweet spot was hard to come by.
I love how it helps you release the club. While it's a little bit bulkier than others, it did so without being unwieldy. The offset and ultralight shafts that come with it help you get through the ball really nicely without worrying about turf interaction.
I was getting a lot more distance and height with the pitching wedge than with other brands. However, that didn't really translate to the longer irons. I found myself losing distance, and my shots had a tendency to want to go right.
Quite a bit of inconsistency across the face with this club. Balls hit on the toe result in a significant reduction in yardage, and those in the middle of the face don't have the carry distance one would expect.
Compact-looking iron with a thick topline. It looks like there's some power in the back of the cavity, but it didn't perform that way. It was not as forgiving as I expected, and you had to put a pretty good swing on it to get the full effect. Dispersion on mis-hits was wider than I would have liked.
One of the longer clubs in this category. That being said, I think it was on the lower end of the forgiveness side. My mis-hits traveled well off-line. It had a firmer feel than others off the face, which may have contributed to the distance I was getting.
Very high spin and launch. I had to learn how to throttle my speed down a little bit to get the performance I was expecting. When I did, I could actually feel the compression of the ball on the face. Really easy to hit.
It was long and straight, with a bit of a driving, boring trajectory. The ball seemed to really jump and launch off the face. Looking down, it has a fairly thick-looking topline, so you know there's a little extra something behind it.
It felt forgiving and eased through the turf. I felt like I was getting some high ball flights and the right amount of spin to let it drop out of the sky like a rock. I could actually work the ball a little bit with this head, too.
I enjoyed hitting this club. I think because it was so forgiving, it gave me the confidence to swing more freely. It didn't necessarily translate into more distance, but I was striking the ball well and my control was very good.
A straight shooter that never wanders from your intended target. When you hit the sweet spot, you're rewarded with a nice, crisp pop. It feels as good as it sounds.
A really nice club. It had good pop and the turf interaction was clean. For someone who tends to dig the club into the turf, this didn't do that. Distance was above-average.
I love the topline on this club. They did a good job of hiding the tag on the back. Center hits had a ton of energy and a great, crispy feel off the face, but mis-hits fluttered pretty quickly.
The topline is definitely too thick. It looks like a club that has a lot of help, and while I need some, I don't need that much. I think that kept me from really feeling I could attack the ball.
Great launch angle with this club. Mid-high ball flight creates a nice, little arc and soft, sharp angle of descent. It corrects pretty well without losing a lot of distance, and doesn't have a ton of side spin to throw you offline.
This club has some heft behind it, which really allowed me to drive through the ball and gain some extra distance, especially in the longer irons. Forgiveness-wise, I could see the ball get corrected but never overly so.
Fairly bulky looking clubs, but the pitching wedge and 7-iron work so well. If you want something that launches the ball really high, but does not spin too much, this is for you. The short irons are just so easy to hit.
I saw a lot of inconsistencies in my shots. It does give you good feedback in the hands. It's easy to tell where on the face you've hit the ball. But it doesn't feel like it's fast off the face on impact.
While I didn't find it attractive, the club performs extraordinarily well. Incredibly easy to hit long, straight shots. Very rewarding on your good swings and forgiving on your loose swings.
For the person who needs to get the ball up high to land it soft, these are the clubs for you. The ball just balloons up in the air, especially on the pitching wedge. I hit a high ball already, so I don't need all that assistance. Not for me.
.
I found the shorter irons a lot easier to control. It felt like the clubface was really grabbing the ball. In the longer irons, the face was much less receptive. It was as if the ball was bouncing off concrete. It was more of a lower trajectory and piercing ball flight, not very conducive to holding greens.
It's on the bulkier side. Definitely looks more like a super game-improvement iron than a game-improvement iron. In terms of performance, I really couldn't get a good strike on the ball. Even when I hit the center of the face, the ball traveled much shorter than it should. The sound is very muted, almost dead, which may explain the power issue.
A chunky iron that delivers above-average power and distance on nearly all hits. A well-struck ball travels faithfully with a nice launch and really surprising distance. The turf interaction is a little heavy, and takes away from some of the crispness from the experience, but overall a very decent, solid performing club.
Visually, the club looked a little chunky, and the offset was a bit too pronounced for my liking. Performance-wise, these things did nothing to improve the experience. It didn't give me any extra help in terms of forgiveness.
